My grievance is regarding the Samsung microwave I have with me, purchased on 19-11-2015, model/serial no:- MC28H5025VF/ 0ALE7WEGA00036. Since its purchase, it had one inherent defect related to door which was not switching off the light properly for microwave to function, but when we used to shake the door little bit the light used to get turn off and it used to work properly then. Apart from this defect, till last week my microwave was working properly fine, it used to cook/grill food perfectly.
As the warranty period of my microwave was about to get over on 19-11-2016, I thought to get the inherent defect corrected from the Samsung company. I called customer care on 4th Nov 016 and they arranged an engineer’s visit on 5th Nov 2016 at my home to check the defect. Engineer came and opened the microwave to check the defect and after 10 minute of checking he closed the microwave and told me that a small part needs to be replaced to correct this inherent defect. He said that this replacement of part will just take 1-2 days if the part is available in store.
After the engineer left when I tried to use microwave again for cooking food, it did not get hot at all, though the light is turning on and plate is rotating but it’s not getting warm/hot from inside. I called the customer care again to complain about what there engineer had done, since then they are just assuring me of an engineer visit again to resolve my issue.
Since last 5 days my microwave is not working at all and it all happened when the Samsung engineer came and opened it. Instead of repairing the inherent defect they have broken my microwave all the more so now it’s not working at all.
I called customer care many time since then, every day, 3-4 times a day, all they are giving me is assurance that one engineer will come soon and repair it. I really feel that they want to let my warranty period get over which will be on 19-11-2016 and then they want to charge me for the part replacement and for the repair. This is not acceptable to me as the defect was an inherent one in the Samsung product and they should correct it free of cost.
My invoice number is SYS-02552 and the customer care complaint numbers are 8432345769, 1134351880 and the service request number is 4224968330 on which engineer name MANSOOR has been assigned who is not taking calls at all.
Kindly note, till this happened to me I was a Samsung brand loyal and used to give example of Samsung’s wonderful after sales service. I had all the products in my home of Samsung company, but henceforth I will think many times before buying Samsung products and will stop others also from doing so.
Please look into it to get this sorted and I need answer that why there are loop holes/gaps in the service. I need full compensation of the harassment I am facing for this delay in service. If I will not get timely response from Samsung I will definitely take the matter to consumer court/forum.
