THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE WORST EVER SERVICE/SUPPORT RECEIVED AT A SERVICE CENTER!!!...
Today afternoon, I walked into your Egmore Alsa Mall Service Store for checking the issue with my Redmi Note 3. I had an issue with in 3 months of purchase. I think it was Oct 14th, when I found my smartphone dead even after proper charging. I had been using it very carefully eversince I have purchased. I have never dropped my phone on the floor or water bodies, nor an inch of scratch on my phone-body.
And the service engineer walks out of the back office at the sevice centre saying, "Sir, This is complete water/ Liquid damage. Your phone's Motherboard and associated parts have been damaged, You need to replace this as this is not covered in warranty. It would cost you somewhere near INR 8,000."
Now tell me Mr.Vishnu, how on the earth some one would buy a phone for INR 12,000 and not caused any damage to phone intentionally or unintentionally end up paying INR 8000 for its service within 3 months of its purchase.. This is not done at all, I would like to take this up with the MI Factory Service if required.
I could have got my phone serviced at any local service centre also, but I resisted it thinking MI Service centre would help me on this issue. Instead The service team informs me that there is no such repairing policy as such, I was informed that Company's policy states that spare parts have to be only replaced but never to be repaired. This was one of the most shocking response from service centre.
